Agro POS: POS and accounting software for fertilizer dealers
A Bengali-first POS, inventory and accounting system built for fertilizer, pesticide and seed shops in Bangladesh, sold as a subscription.

The business problem
Fertilizer and agricultural input dealers in Bangladesh sell a large share of their goods on credit, buy by the tonne and sell by the bag or kilogram, and handle pesticides with expiry dates. Most shops track this in paper ledgers, so dues are forgotten, stock is guessed and true profit is unclear.
Generic POS software doesn't understand these rules: mixed units such as "2 bags + 10 kg", batch expiry, government maximum retail prices, or credit limits for regular farmer customers.
The solution
We designed Agro POS as a trade-specific system rather than a generic POS. Every product stores its package size and exact unit conversions, so a purchase in tonnes can be sold by the bag or kilogram without rounding errors. Stock is held in batches with expiry dates and allocated first-expiry-first-out, and expired stock is blocked from sale.
Credit sales post to customer ledgers with credit limits, and every sale, purchase, return and payment posts to a double-entry ledger, so the trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet come straight from daily transactions. The interface is Bengali-first with Bengali and English invoices.
Development approach
The product was built in approved phases against a written requirements brief, with each phase covered by automated tests before moving on. Money and quantities use decimal arithmetic throughout, and an append-only stock movement ledger is the source of truth for inventory.
Agro POS runs as a subscription service with plans, renewal warnings and a grace period, and is marketed through a Bengali landing page with demo requests.
